This opulent Chardonnay fills the glass with layers of nutmeg, sumac, crushed lemongrass, honeycomb, and dried flowers. White peach, nectarine, and apricot aromas pair seamlessly with subtle elements of butterscotch and crème brûlée. Upon entry, the palate has an intense, creamy texture that is superbly balanced with brisk minerality and bright natural acidity, leading to an exceptionally complex, persistent finish.
Our founder Gary Farrell was a passionate believer in great vineyards. Long before the Russian River Valley made its mark on the world stage, Gary was out exploring vineyards in the early 1980s to identify grapes from the most promising sites in the valley.
The specific conditions of the vineyards yield wines boasting bright, vibrant aromas, intense, yet supple flavors and exemplary balance. Our wines display these characteristics in spades, along with a remarkable purity and elegance of varietal expression.
"The 2013 Chardonnay Olivet Lane Vineyard has a slightly lighter gold/straw color. Plenty of strong minerality, wet stones, white currants, quince and honeysuckle are present in this full-bodied, complex and Burgundian-style Chardonnay. This is a beauty and still youthful. Drink it over the next decade."
