The 2009 Poesia offers up a sexy perfume of pain grille, mineral, exotic spices, lavender, black cherry, and blackberry. This sets the stage for a plush, incipiently complex, beautifully proportioned wine with 5-6 years or more of aging potential. It will provide prime drinking from 2016 to 2029.

Bodega Poesia was founded in 2000, when Helene Garcin-Leveque was seeking a property of her own (her family is the proprietor of Clos l’Eglise in Pomerol among others.) The vineyard is comprised of four rows of vines interpolated by a row of olive trees that Helene thought looked like a Garden of Eden and so she christened it “Poesia,” “poetry” in Spanish.
