BH 91 : A pretty and very fresh nose combines notes of various red berry, spice and lovely floral elements. There is both good detail and energy to the refreshing middle weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the bitter cherry-inflected finish.

Domaine Pousse d'Or is undoubtedly the most famous winery in Volnay, given its impressive history and current status in the world of Burgundy.

In 1855, the domaine was part of a larger domaine that included such names as Romanée-Conti and Clos de Tart. Originally called La Bousse d'Or (Bousse, in old French, means earth; thus, "golden earth"), the domaine changed hands a number of times until it fell into the hands of Gérard Potel. It was Potel that put the domaine's wines on the map, with the style that it is known for today.
The Domaine de la Pousse d'Or, is pleased to offer 5 grand crus and 11 premier crus of which three are monopoles, in Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. For centuries, harvesting the purest expression of our exceptional terroirs has become an obsession.

Today, our biodynamic work in the vineyards, the organically controlled vinification process, as well as the prolonged lees aging contribute to the essential balance, finesse and richness of the distinguished Pinot Noir grape for the red wines and Chardonnay for the white wines, and is accentuated by the Women and Men of the Domaine de la Pousse d'Or.

The plots, representing about 17 hectares of vines, are located on the emblematic villages of Volnay, Chambolle-Musigny, Corton, Pommard, Puligny-Montrachet, Morey-Saint-Denis and Santenay.
