Tasting Notes
Nose: Floral and herbal with vanilla, rum raisin and allspice, plus subtle fruit and caramel sweetness.
Palate: Creamy and smooth, showing vanilla, raisin, apricot and dried fruit, followed by warming baking spice. The rum-cask finish provides a sweeter, fruitier dimension than most traditional Irish blends.
Finish: Long and warming with lingering sweetness, oak and spice.
Sommelier’s Take
A flavorful step up from many entry-level blended Irish whiskeys. The 46% ABV provides good body, while the rum-cask finish gives it an appealing combination of dried fruit, vanilla and spice. It works well neat, over ice, in an Irish Coffee, Whiskey Ginger or elevated Old Fashioned.
