Pinot Noir, "Bush Crispo Vineyard" Ram's Gate, Russian River Valley, CA, 2016

$69.95 Excl. tax

RP 93 : Pale to medium ruby-purple colored; pomegranate and raspberry preserves with a touch of tilled soil. The palate is medium to full-bodied with red berries and earthy layers supported by grainy tannins, and it finishes with a burst of freshness.

Perched upon a rolling hillside, where the San Francisco Bay meets the edges of Napa and Sonoma counties, Ram's Gate Winery patiently awaits. A special site where the estate vineyard is uniquely positioned - the Sonoma Valley ends on the south-side of the vineyard, the Sonoma Coast on the east, and Carneros on the west, makes it the compass rose of Sonoma and the gateway to Wine Country.

Founded in 2011, the winery has long been recognized for their portfolio of wines, architectural beauty, refined hospitality programs and sublime culinary experiences. Showcasing a deep appreciation for their 28-acre estate along with personality-driven wines from some of Northern California’s most cherished terroirs, the ethos of Ram’s Gate is echoed through their commitment to full-circle engagement.

Building on a decade of discovery, the culmination of stewardship, careful farming, and thoughtful winemaking shines in every bottle. Today, Director of Winemaking Joe Nielsen is parlaying the estate vineyard into a model of thoughtful precision farming and sustainability, while also elevating each wine in the portfolio to its highest vineyard expression.
