Rich and ripe but still fresh currants, together with plenty of vanilla, mint chili chocolate, quince and dark spices. Full-bodied and flavorful on the palate with structured, nicely chewy tannins and a rich, medium-long finish. Better in a year or two.
Memorias was created in 1999, in homage to four centuries of written history since the Picunches, the indigenous people of the lands where our vineyards grow today, welcomed the Spanish conquistadors, giving rise to an entirely new culture.
The symbol of Memories is the "spiral of life," which represents the circle of life, understood as the constant movement generated by experiences. This symbol is present in all ancient civilizations and represents evolution and constant development.
Likewise, Memorias is a blend of perfectly balanced structure and balance, increasing in complexity with each year of bottle aging. Carefully crafted to preserve the intensity and freshness of its fruit, this Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend includes varying percentages of other French varieties: Petit Verdot to enhance its acidity and freshness; Syrah for its spicy notes; Carmenere for its intense color, red fruit, and rounded tannins; and Cabernet Franc for its intense flavors and aromas. The resulting wine is fresh, with delicate layers of soft tannins—a blend that faithfully expresses the unique terroir of Alto Maipo.
