Product description

The Beaumont family story is one where fact, fable and fantasy merge - a story where wine, food and family are always at the centre of the narrative - a story in which a family filled with big-hearted and impassionate people, strive to capture the essence of happiness, be it in the cellar, in the kitchen or sitting on a farmhouse stoep. It is a story that applauds the efforts of the everyday and the memories that are made through generous sharing of the spoils of the land. “The 2013 Pinotage is fermented in open tanks with a careful alcoholic ferment to maintain the finesse that Sebastien Beaumont feels is in the grape variety. The nose is medium-bodied with supple ripe black fruit laced with tobacco and iodine. This is a stylish and again, quite elegant Pinotage that I think benefits from Sebastien Beaumont no longer using American oak, the 30% new oak much more in sync. This is just one of those Pinotage wines that is just made to be drunk rather than thought about...and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.”
