A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere, Syrah and Merlot. Primus The Blend has ripe red and black berry fruit flavors with exotic spice. A full-bodied wine with a lingering finish.
The grapes are hand-picked, double sorted, fermented and left on the skins after fermentation to extract deep color and rich flavors. The best lots of the vintage are selected, married to blend harmoniously and aged in French oak for a minimum of 12 months.
Primus wines are made with the same detail-intense winemaking practices eserved for the top wines of the world. Yields are managed to a meager 2 – 3 tons per acre to provide concentration and intensity. Grapes are hand-harvested and double-sorted before crush to ensure only the most pristine berries make it into the wine. After fermentation, the wines are aged in a combination of French and American oak for a minimum of 12 to 14 months. The resulting wines are full-bodied and balanced with persistence of flavor.
