Purchasing & Shipping Information 

ONLINE PURCHASE POLICY

You must be at least 21 years old to purchase and receive alcoholic beverages. Orders received after 2:30 pm will be processed the following business day. We will make every effort to deliver your wine locally within 24 hours. All orders are subject to review. In an attempt to mitigate fraudulent orders, a member of our staff may contact you via phone in order to verify the order and shipping instructions. After three contact attempts if no one has been reached to verify the order, Michael’s retains the right to cancel the order. All orders must be placed and received by an adult at least 21 years old. Orders will be shipped as soon as possible Tuesday through Friday. Orders placed after 2pm on Fridays will be shipped the following Tuesday.

 

SALES TAX

All orders are subject to a 7% Florida sales tax.

 

CREDIT CARDS

We accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover & American Express. Your credit card information, order, and shipping instructions are sent securely and encrypted. If you prefer, you may call us with your credit card number at 941-955-2675.

 

IN-TOWN DELIVERY

Michael's Wine Cellar is happy to provide limited in-town delivery via a private delivery service for a $25 flat fee.We do not work with Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Drizzly. In-town delivery is available to select locations in the Sarasota, Bradenton or Venice area, and is subject to driver availability. Michael’s Wine Cellar will make every attempt to have orders delivered same day Tuesday through Friday. Delivery is not available on Saturdays or while the store is closed on Sunday and Monday. In the event a driver is not available, same-day purchases will be delivered the next day. We will only make one delivery attempt. All deliveries must be signed for. Please make sure someone at least 21 years of age will be available to receive your delivery. They must have a valid ID. An office address is recommended for this reason. Please include any necessary delivery instructions (i.e. Gate code, Call number, Condo Office directions, etc.) in the notes section of your order. 

 

OUT-OF-TOWN DELIVERY

You must be at least 21 years old to purchase and receive alcoholic beverages. We can now ship to the following states: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, RI, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, and WY. FedEx handles all out-of-town deliveries. Shipping rates are processed through FedEx on our site at their current rates just prior to your purchase authorization. All deliveries must be signed for. Please make sure someone at least 21 years of age will be available to receive your delivery. FedEx delivery drivers will make two delivery attempts before returning the package to the store. If this occurs, a member of our staff will reach out to confirm whether you would like the order canceled or reshipped. If a package is reshipped, the purchaser will be required to pay for the new shipping cost at the current FedEx rate on the day of reshipping. 

 

DISCLAIMER

Occasionally, we will sell out of an item due to the vast inventory and high volume of our business. Our database is updated daily. However, some order requests may be processed before a vintage change is reflected on the invoice. We feel that many wines are made with the same level of quality from year to year. Please be advised that vintage changes and out-of-stock situations are subject to change without notice. MichaelsWineCellar.com reserves the right to make appropriate vintage substitutions when necessary. You may request we notify you before doing so by writing “Do Not Sub” in the delivery notes box on our order page. We will then contact you if necessary. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to serving you.

What happens if I receive a broken bottle?

Please call the Michael’s Wine Cellar team, 941-955-2675, within 10 days and we’ll take care of it at no expense to you.

 

What if I don't like one of the wines? Do you offer a guarantee? 

We want you to enjoy every bottle you buy from us. If you are not completely satisfied with any wine, for any reason, just let us know and we will replace the wine.
