The wine comes from a collection of older Brochon/Gevrey vines—the source for the Burghound review describes parcels planted between 1922 and 1961, averaging more than 60 years old. It was raised for about 14 months, with roughly 30% new oak.

My read: this is a serious, age-worthy village Burgundy, more structured and powerful than delicate. The 2022 vintage's ripe fruit should make it approachable relatively young, but the tannic/compact structure suggests it should improve with several years in bottle. One retailer gives a drinking window beginning around 2025 and extending into 2035+.
