Layers of truffle and sun-dried garrigue lend complexity to this spicy, richly concentrated Grenache-Mourvédre blend. Edged with a fine fringe of cocoa powder tannins and fresh black-currant acidity, it's ready to drink now but should continue to gain more savory nuances through 2030. — Anna Lee C. Iijima
Deep, intense red color. The reflections are keen carmine. Good clarity. The very dark color makes the wine shiny. The nose is open, on black fruits and spices. An impression of power emerges very clearly as soon as you put your nose in the glass. At aeration cocoa, licorice, wild blackberry make the wine warm, make it a winter wine. A touch of minerality (graphite, flint) typical of the appellation. The rich mouth does not disappoint and stays in style. One can imagine drinking it on roast meat, game, character dishes - especially with truffles that it will contain. Carafe possible. An imposing wine with a strong character. To be drunk in the next 8 years on a hare √ la royale, a Provencal stew, a truffled bird."
