Perelada Aires de Garbet is a red wine from the Empordà region produced by Perelada. This wine is made using only Grenache grapes.
The grapes used for this wine come from the Garbet estate, which spans over 12 hectares of land. The vineyards are cultivated on terraces, growing on slate soils.
The harvest is carried out manually, using small boxes with 20kg capacity, which ensures that the grapes do not break nor ferment prematurely. At the winery, the vinification process starts; during the first phase 2 pump-overs occur daily. The must of Perelada Aires de Garbet then macerates for 16 days at a controlled temperature of 24º.
Finally, Perelada Aires de Garbet is then aged for 12 months in second year boardeux French oak barrels from Tronçais. Then before being put onto the market, it ages again in the bottle.
