"The 2024 Le Blanc d'Aiguilhe, mostly Sauvignon Blanc with a touch of Sauvignon Gris, is very fine. Pliant and silky, with superb textural balance, Le Blanc d'Aiguilhe shows just how compelling 2024 is for whites. Time in the glass brings out gorgeous citrus and floral notes, while picking on the riper side helped avoid some of the greenness that can mark dry Bordeaux whites. This is a terrific showing from the Neipperg family."

"Gunsmoke reduction, flinty, pale yellow-grey, citrus, lemongrass, on same plateau as the reds, planted in 2019 largely. Quite different in shape and feel to the Clos Marsalette, as is often the case between these two wines. Harvest 9 to 11 September. 20% new oak. 28hl/ha yield, 3.15ph. Some of this Sauvignon Blanc is in fact Sauvignon Gris."

"Green apple, and peas with some asparagus notes. Bright and zingy on the palate - a real lifted expression with drive and vibrancy but not too sharp or too lean. This is calm and controlled beyond the initial lemon, pear and apple aspect with a creamy but cool aspect on the finish. Easy to drink and enjoy with racy acidity but underpinning not overwhelming the fruit. Already bottled. Ageing 20% new oak barrels. A yield of 28hl/ha. 3.15pH."

Château d’Aiguilhe Le Blanc d’Aiguilhe 2024 (Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux) is a Sauvignon Blanc–dominant white with a small proportion of Sauvignon Gris, produced by the Neipperg family from vineyards planted in 2019 on limestone-rich plateau soils.
In the glass, it shows a pale straw to light yellow hue. The aromatic profile is expressive yet controlled, opening with citrus zest, lemon peel, grapefruit, green apple, pear, and subtle tropical hints. With air, it gains floral lift (white flowers, acacia) along with flint, wet stone, and a faint smoky reduction that adds complexity rather than weight.
On the palate, the wine is medium-light to medium-bodied with a silky, finely textured mouthfeel. The 2024 vintage brings freshness and precision, but also a notable sense of ripeness that prevents the greener, more herbaceous edges sometimes seen in Bordeaux whites. The acidity is bright and well-judged, giving drive without sharpness.
The mid-palate is clean and focused, blending orchard fruit and citrus with a gentle creamy touch from partial oak aging (including a portion in new barrels). There is a subtle saline and chalky mineral backbone that reflects its limestone terroir.
The finish is long, linear, and precise, tapering into citrus oil, crushed stone, and soft floral notes. It leaves a refreshing, mouthwatering impression rather than overt richness.
Critically, the wine is widely praised in the 91–93 point range, with reviewers highlighting its balance, texture, and improvement in warmer vintages. It is seen as one of the most successful recent whites from the Right Bank, offering both immediate appeal and short-term aging potential.
Overall, Château d’Aiguilhe 2024 Blanc is a polished, modern Bordeaux white that prioritizes finesse, clarity, and drinkability over power, delivering a refined and highly approachable expression of Castillon terroir.
