Reserved as the heart of Dewar's blends, limited quantities of Aberfeldy single malt are now available. 12 years old, Aberfeldy is noted for its heather honey nose, full body & rounded taste. The finish is elegant, with pronounced spice & hints of orange.
Quite youthful on the nose, with barley, vanilla, and finally nectarines. Smooth and medium-bodied, with floral notes, custard, and milk chocolate. A relatively short finish, with sappy oak.
Matured for 12 years in American and European Oak Sherry casks before finishing in Amontillado casks for a distinctively rich and refined depth of flavor.
