The 2022 Cakebread Merlot is a plush, fruit-forward Napa expression built around fruit from both warmer and cooler parts of the valley, including Rutherford and Cakebread’s Suscol Springs Ranch. That combination gives the wine ripe dark fruit and richness while retaining freshness and structure. It is 14.7% ABV.

This is a classic approachable Napa Merlot—richer and more fruit-driven than a Right Bank Bordeaux, but with enough acidity and tannin to maintain definition. The blackberry, plum, mocha and polished oak profile makes it particularly guest-friendly and a strong pairing for beef, lamb, mushrooms or roasted meats.
