This special is the first bonded bourbon in Colorado history. True to the Bottled in Bond Act of 1897, this bourbon is at least 4 years old, a product of a single season & a single distiller, & has been aged entirely in our federally bonded rickhouse.
Penelope Architect Straight Bourbon Whiskey is Four Grain Straight Bourbon uniquely blended from three bourbons mash bills, then finished for a minimum of 4 years in barrels using Nektar Extreme Complex French Oak Staves with medium tannin content.

Mild & fruity with zesty hints of green agave & tropical fruits softened with deep tones of cream & overripe stone fruit. Produced at the famous La Alteña distillery in Arandas, by master distiller Carlos Camarena.
Medium ruby hue with a savory bouquet of wild strawberries, mulled raspberries, dried earth and flowery incense. Medium bodied with a layered, balanced mouthfeel and ripe tannins.
The nose reveals notes of black & red fruits combined with subtle woody & smoky notes. The palate offers the same rich, fruity aromas as the nose. This full-bodied wine has a velvety tannic backbone which gives a sensation of warmth on the smooth finish.
