Our Joseph MELLOT family and winery have their roots in Sancerre: its history began 5 centuries ago with Pierre-Etienne, the first in our long line of winemakers. At the end of the 17^th century, César Mellot was King Louis XIV’s Wine Adviser.

Over time, Joseph MELLOT expanded by acquiring new vineyards. Nowadays, our Portfolio includes a wide variety of wines from the Centre-Loire Region.

Managed since 2005 by Catherine Corbeau-Mellot who carries on, with passion and talent, her husband’s Alexandre and his ancestors’ work, Joseph MELLOT Winery maintains its core values of quality, environmental responsibility, sharing/conviviality and (generational) transmission/continuity?.
