Made by Jenny Wagner of the Wagner family, the 2024 Emmolo is sourced from family vineyards in Napa Valley with most fruit coming from Suisun Valley. The goal is a dry, mineral-driven Sauvignon Blanc with bright acidity, restrained ripeness, and little of the overt grassy character sometimes associated with the variety.
Tasting notes: Fresh aromas of yellow grapefruit, lime zest, honeysuckle, tangerine and wet stone. The palate is crisp yet slightly rounded, showing Meyer lemon, passion fruit, honeydew melon and citrus blossom, followed by a dry, mouthwatering grapefruit finish with persistent steely minerality.

At 12.9% ABV, this is a lighter, fresher California Sauvignon Blanc rather than a tropical, heavily ripe style.
Sommelier take: Crisp, clean and approachable, with enough roundness to broaden its appeal. Excellent with oysters, scallops, shrimp, grilled fish, goat cheese or lighter seafood dishes.
