What it actually sounds like
This is not your basic grassy, aggressively tropical California Sauvignon Blanc.

A detailed retailer tasting describes the 2024 as white grapefruit, mandarin oil, lime blossom, passionfruit cream, yuzu and makrut lime, followed by wet river-stone minerality, jasmine, lemon sorbet, chervil, tarragon and cucumber skin.
And here's the part I think you'll appreciate: there's texture here. The wine is lightly oaked and the producer's Sonoma Coast program emphasizes the region's cool Pacific influence, which helps preserve freshness while allowing concentration and complexity.
My take
95 points is completely believable. This is a luxury Sauvignon Blanc—bright and mineral-driven, but with enough richness and texture to make it interesting at the table.
And at 14.5% ABV, this isn't a featherweight patio SB. It's the kind I'd happily put alongside oysters, shellfish, goat cheese, grilled fish, ceviche, or a beautiful seafood appetizer.
