The grapes come from carefully selected parcels in Volnay, where the soil of chalk and clay contributes to the wine's finesse and depth. The vineyards are situated at an ideal height, where cool nights and warm days ensure slow ripening and great aromatic complexity.
The vinification is traditional and meticulous: The grapes are hand-harvested, destemmed, and fermented at controlled temperatures. The wine then ages in French oak barrels for 12 months, adding fine notes of spice and structure without overpowering the pure fruit.
This Volnay Village is an excellent companion to poultry, veal, or mushroom risotto. Serve at 14-16 degrees to allow its elegance and nuances to shine through clearly.
A wine that showcases the best of Burgundy's finesse and Arnaud Baillot's dedication to quality.
