Volnay is a very aromatic wine often considered the most feminine Burgundy red wine. Bright ruby, it has a slightly woody nose mingling with aromas and candied red fruits and violets. The palate is rich and well balanced. The tannins are relatively diverse when young and harmonize with age.

Fresh on the attack and warmer on the finish, Volnay goes hand in hand with dishes rich in aromas: sophisticated dishes based on poultry, roasts or game birds braised at a serving temperature of 14 to 16° vs.
