The flagship Cabernet Sauvignon from Patrimony Estate represents the pinnacle of the Daou family's mountain-grown wines. Sourced from steep limestone-rich vineyards in the Adelaida District of Paso Robles, the 2020 vintage is produced entirely from free-run juice and matured for 30 months in 100% new French oak, resulting in a wine of exceptional depth, structure, and longevity.

Tasting Notes

Opaque ruby-black in color. The nose is intensely aromatic with layers of cassis, blackberry, blueberry, black currant, pomegranate, pencil shavings, tobacco leaf, dark chocolate, cedar, toasted spice, thyme, fennel, and mocha. On the palate it is full-bodied and remarkably polished, combining massive concentration with vibrant acidity and finely integrated tannins. Rich flavors of blackberry preserves, cocoa, espresso, graphite, and baking spices unfold into an exceptionally long finish accented by savory herbs and crushed stone minerality. Despite its power, the wine maintains impressive balance and freshness.
