Domaine Morey et Fils' history began in 1919 when Fernand Morey returned from WWI and expanded his father's 2-hectare farm. In the 1930s, he pioneered bottling his wines. His son Marc joined in 1944, and together they built the current barrel cellar in 1946. After Fernand's death in 1964, Marc and his wife Madeleine expanded the facilities in 1972. In 1977, Marc's daughter and son-in-law, Marie-Josèphe and Bernard Mollard, took over, further developing the estate and its international presence. Bernard later expanded the wine list and built additional cellars. Today, the 9.5-hectare estate, employing sustainable viticulture, produces highly regarded Burgundian wines.
