Cinnamon, vanilla and a hint of coconut aromas and flavors lead off, offering black cherry, blackberry and violet notes buried within. This is supple and vibrant, with excellent balance. Just give it six months to a year to absorb the oak. Nebbiolo, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Syrah.

This is both deep in color and on the nose with plenty of wood spices, dark walnuts, black cherries, peppercorn, licorice, bark and dark mushrooms. Supple entry, but the oak tannins and the intense, juicy fruit quickly take over, delivering a nicely chewy, structured palate with medium to full body and a long, spicy finish. Well-made, but arguably lacking a bit of identity. Nebbiolo, pinot noir, merlot and syrah. Needs two more years.
