At the foot of a high cliff, Saint-Romain occupies an elevated position in the Côte de Beaune. It is one of the earliest sanctuaries of the Celtic and Gallo-Roman vines in Burgundy. This vineyard is positioned on the slope, taking advantage of its softness and excellent soils. With this marl and limestone combination, the presence of clay is perfect for Chardonnay, which represents 65% of the plantation. The vineyards have a south/southeast and north/northeast exposure with a rough altitude of between 280 and 400 metres.
