A producer that has some of the most consistent acclaim in Burgundy over the last few years, the wines from Maltroye are certainly singular, but also speak volumes to some of the region's treasured terroir. Aromatically there's some strong orchard fruit, white pepper, and lime zest on an expressive nose. On the palate, it leads with stone fruit on a textured palate that is immediately lifted by bright acidity and ripe peach, pear, and meyer lemon. The finish is long, with a streak of salinity and mineral that adds another beautiful nuance. This is a driven Chassagne Montrachet that has a ton of complexity and immediately won over everyone in the room. Another stunner from Maltroye.
